Just like a doula in the delivery room, I’ll be by your side on set, there for you and only you, to give you confidence and ensure the background noise stays in the background.

With my experience, I’ll help you bring out your abilities in the moment of truth and simply be your authentic self.

Maya guided and coached me during the filming of my first music video for my song "Yahalom." She joined us for a long day of shooting and worked with both me and Gefen—the sweet little girl who also acted in the video. Maya managed to bring out authentic and spot-on performances from both of us, despite having no acting experience. I came to Maya for performance coaching for a music concert I was doing. I've had coaching before and with mixed results. Maya is by far the most creative and talented coach I've ever worked with. She brought out emotions in me I didn't know I had, and was able to help me reach something I couldn't achieve on my own. She was compassionate, patient, and knew the exact right buttons to push to get the best out of me. When showtime came, I completely trusted her and felt so much more confident because of it.

What will happen on our shooting day?

About the Studio and me

"Maya Behar - acting and performing art studio" is a studio for acting workshops for adults, founded in 2010.

During the summer school vacation, it offers fascinating workshops for teenagers as well.
In the workshops we work on: •improvisation • body language • speech voice training • imagination development • flexibility and creativity • working with partners • acquiring and building confidence in front of an audience and in front of a camera • working on texts • expression development • raising charisma • emotional work and more.
In addition to the group workshops, the studio holds private acting lessons, preparations for auditions, formation workshops for companies and organizations, performance art workshops and speaking in front of an audience and more. The workshops at the studio help the participants overcome stage fright, improve professional and interpersonal skills, increase self-confidence and more . For 14 years I have accompanied hundreds of people, from every possible background, from different ages, with a common desire - to enhance their presence in front of the audience and in front of the camera, and seeing the change that my workshops produce in their professional, personal and interpersonal lives, and am amazed to discover, every time anew, How does the acting world is an inseparable part of our lives.
My name is Maya Behar and since I can remember myself, the great passion of my life is the stage world.
I am an actress, a dubbing artist, a graduate of the "Nisan Nativ" acting school and the owner of the "Maya Behar - Acting and performing art Studio"

As an actress, I have appeared in many theater productions in France, New York and Israel, including "Haddybuk", the award-winning "Touch of Light", the solo performance "Ashrei" at the "Theatronto" festival and more.

I realized that I wanted to be an actress at the age of five, when my mother took me to see the play "Peter and the Wolf," and since then I haven't woken up from the dream...

So yesterday I finished a workshop of 20 sessions with Maya. It was a special, educational, empowering and very enjoyable experience (there is no shortage of difficulty, but that's part of the fun). Mia is an excellent teacher, attentive and empathetic, but also sharp and deep, a combination that allows her to lead each participant to get the best out of themselves. I'm very happy that I did it and strongly recommend it to everyone - certainly for those who have a burning passion for the game, but also for those who have something in them that is drawn to it but is hesitant and maybe even a little afraid. I wouldn't give it up!

I came to Maya with a "camera shyness" that prevented me from shooting marketing videos for my business. Maya's warmth, care, and professionalism shine through even on Zoom, and I already felt the improvement after the first online session.

Maya addresses sensitive points and provides exercises to help overcome them. The process is not yet complete, but after several sessions, I already feel more liberated and express myself with much more confidence in front of the camera. I highly recommend her!

Maya has rich experience in acting and teaching acting and an understanding of subtleties and nuances, I participated in an acting workshop with her for several months which was both very enjoyable and educational and meaningful and included a part of improvisations and a part of working on monologues and performing in front of an audience at the end. I learned a lot from her. In addition, I recently experimented with a short online workshop that was enjoyable and fun. And besides, she's a great person (: I highly recommend both face-to-face workshops and Zoom workshops.

I came to the studio in order to improve my standing in front of an audience (like quite a few people), and I discovered much more than that. During the workshop, I learned to get to know my strengths and weaknesses in depth while experimenting. Mia worked very hard on me, and I improved a lot compared to the starting point I reached with her. There are some things I want to try to apply further outside the studio in situations of standing in front of an audience. And another nice side effect, it's fun to vent frustrations that no one knows the source of, in someone else's text. There is something very liberating about that.

I started the workshop with Maya as a person who is terrified just by the thought of standing on a stage. Mia enriched my toolbox as an actor and as a person, empowered me all the way and didn't leave any of my colors outside the door. Her energy, sophistication and professionalism bring the right people to the workshop and I felt that I was enriched by all the participants who were with me. It was definitely a once in a lifetime experience (twice, because I returned to this workshop again, and I would return again and again). Highly recommend to any actress at any stage of her/his career and to any person whose stage is the source of their nightmares.
