Nice to meet you, I’m Maya Behar – actress, voice artist, creator, and founder of the Performance Art Studio since 2010.
As the daughter of artist parents, I felt from a very young age that the stage was my true home. That understanding was born at the age of five, when I watched Peter and the Wolf with my mother – and since then, I haven’t woken up from the dream…
I’m a graduate of the Nissan Nativ Acting Studio, and over the years I trained in a variety of institutions in Israel, France, and New York, including the French National Theatre, La Comédie-Française, Studio Pygmalion in Paris, the Stella Adler Studio, HB Studio in New York, Participated in workshops and professional development programs at the Israeli Actors’ Union, and many more.
I performed my one-woman show across France and Europe for over five years. I’ve acted, directed, and created dozens of productions in Israel and around the world, dubbed beloved films and series, composed songs that aired on the radio, and guided people through every stage of their performance journey – whether they were actors, entrepreneurs, businesspeople, teachers, managers, or creators.
All the knowledge and experience I’ve accumulated over more than three decades is what I bring into the studio I founded, with a clear vision:
To make the actor’s toolbox accessible to everyone, and give every person the ability to feel confident, grounded, and self-assured – whether in front of an audience, a camera, or in any human interaction.
There is no such thing as a person without charisma or authenticity – that is what I truly believe.
At the studio, I’ve developed a unique approach that combines depth, precision, playfulness, and practicality – with the goal of unlocking each person’s natural charisma and removing the blocks that hold back authentic expression.
Since 2010, hundreds of students have studied at the studio – emerging actors, professionals, entrepreneurs, educators, managers, salespeople, therapists, and many more – all discovering how to lead authentic, powerful, and confident performances in front of a crowd or camera.
Through my hundreds of students, I am reminded time and time again what a powerful tool I have been privileged to share – and how acting training can help anyone, from any field, to break free, to grow, to express themselves, and to discover who they truly are.

משנת 1996 ועד 2010 שיחק בתאטרון גשר. שם שיחק במספר רב של הצגות כגון כפר, עיר-בה זכה בפרס השחקן המבטיח, שלוש אחיות ועוד. בפסטיבל עכו בשנת 1997 זכה בפרס השחקן המצטיין בהצגה סטפן.
משנת 2010 ועד 2020 שיחק בתאטרון הבימה בהצגות רבות בהן-אשה בורחת מבשורה,הדה גאבלר, שייקספיר מאוהב ספינינג- אותו גם כתב ביחד עם עירית לוז ואשכול נבו ועוד.
שיחק בטלויזיה בתפקידים רבים בהם הוא והיא, של מי השורה הזאת?, מבצע קיפוד,שכונה ,אזהרת מסע, כפולים ועוד.
שיחק בסרטי קולנוע בהם: ההסדר, ציפורי חול, המוצא אל הים,ג’יהאד ועוד.
בוגרת המחזור הראשון של הסטודיו של מיה בכר במחזור 2010, ובוגרת הסטודיו למשחק מיסודו של יורם לוינשטיין מחזור 2016
השתתפה בפרויקטים רבים ביניהם: סדרת הנוער “החממה”, עונה שלישית בתפקיד עופרי, סדרת הנוער ״פלאשבק״ בתפקיד דנית.
שיחקה בתפקיד ראשי בעונה השנייה של הסדרה “מתים לרגע” בתפקיד שירה.
בשנת 2021 שיחקה בתפקיד ראשי בסדרה “החנות שיש בה הכל” של כאן 11 בתפקיד דנה, בדרמה היומית “מלכת היופי של ירושלים” כג’יזל ובסרט הקולנוע “השחיין”.
כיום משחקת בתיאטרון חיפה, בתיאטרון הארצי לנוער ובתיאטרון השעה. מצטלמת לפרוייקטים רבים ומלמדת בסטודיו משנת 2019.
